Shipping & Purchasing Policies

Laura Preshong offers Free U.S. Shipping on all items ordered directly through our website. Engagement rings and wedding bands are shipped FedEx Express with a direct signature required and replacement insurance provided. You will receive an email prior to your order being shipped with a tracking number for your convenience, as well as an email from Fed Ex so you can Manage My Shipment. We can not ship to hotels or third-party shipping centers, however, you can have your package held at a FedEx Shipping Center near you using the Manage My Shipment link. Orders paid through a staff-issued invoice(custom and customized pieces, resizing and repairs) do not include complimentary shipping and insurance ($30 FedEx 2 Day Express + 1% invoice total for shipping insurance).

Our Current Production Time is 5 Weeks Plus Shipping Time(+2 to 3 Days).

Canadian Shipping - Contact Us for your order shipping to Canada. We will send you an invoice payable online (currently unavailable directly at checkout ). Shipping is 85.00 for International Shipping Via FedEX (insurance is additional and is 1% of the order total). Duties, Taxes, any and all Fees, and shipping insurance are the responsibility of the buyer.

 

Prix Fixe Online Order - 14 Day Review - No Fee.

Our Prix Fixe Collection is an intimate selection of our 5 most popular engagement ring styles, sold complete with an expertly selected diamond or Moissanite center stone (a single line item at check out that specifies 'Prix Fixe' collection) is eligible for a full refund return within 14-days. The item being returned must be received back within the 14-Day review period, starting from the first day your package is out for delivery, packaged securely and in unworn, undamaged condition. Boxes and certificates must be returned with the item, lost natural or lab-grown diamond certificates will result in a $200 deduction from your refund as they will need to be replaced. 

A La Cart Online Order - 14 Day Review - 15% Return Fee. 

Have it your way! Choose from our entire engagement ring design collection, and full inventory of every shape and size of diamond, gemstone, and Moissanite. We combine the setting and center stone that you choose into one beautifully customized engagement ring ready for proposal in just five weeks(plus shipping time)! A La Cart engagement rings (setting and center stone sold separately as two line items on your order), all non-eternity diamond wedding bands and men's wedding bands are eligible for a 14 Day Return less the 15% Return Fee. Boxes and certificates must be returned with the item, lost natural or lab-grown diamond certificates will result in a $200 deduction from your refund as they will need to be replaced. 

Settings Ordered with No Center Stone - We do not sell our engagement ring settings without a center stone and can not set client-owned diamonds or gemstones. Any order placed without a center stone will be refunded according to the A La Cart Return Policies noted above. 

General Return Details -  All of our engagement rings are custom made to order, using the setting you select and the exact center stone, because of the labor intensive way we make our rings, only one ring may be ordered at a time. Please contact us if you need to purchase more than one ring, we would love to assist! Wedding bands can be ordered in multiples and is encouraged, we love a great stack. 

Return dates are determined starting with the first day you are notified your item is available for in-showroom pick up or is tracking as 'out for delivery'.

Non-Eternity diamond wedding bands(1/2-set) and men's wedding bands are eligible for return within the 14-day return window less the 15% restocking fee.

If an item/order is returned for a refund or is canceled during production, your next purchase will qualify as a final sale. If a subsequent order is placed during the production of an existing order, the subsequent order is considered a final sale. Size alterations to orders updated in process will count as your one free re-sizing. 

Non-Refundable Items - Customized and custom design, engraved and resized rings, eternity diamond wedding bands, loose diamonds, gemstones, Jenny or Natalia engagement ring settings.

Damaged or worn items are not eligible for return. Items considered final sale due to previous return, order cancellation or subsequent order placed during production. Expedited shipping charges, rush fees, insurance charges and one time fees are non-refundable.

Ready to Ship -  Ready to Ship items are necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and stacking rings currently available and will ship in 3 to 4 business days. These items are eligible for return within 14 Days starting from the first day your package is out for delivery. Your return must be received for processing within the 14-day review period, packaged securely and in unworn, undamaged condition. Re-sized Ready to Ship stacking rings are non-refundable.

Made to Order - We accept returns for Made-to-Order Fine Jewelry (necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and stackable rings found under 'Jewelry' that are not sold on our website as engagement or wedding bands/rings) within 14 days of the first day your order is available/out for delivery.  There is a 15% Return Fee for all Made-to-Order fine jewelry returns. An online purchase is made via our website, not through an invoice or in-store (see policy below). If an order is returned for a refund or is canceled during production, your next purchase will qualify as a final sale. 

 

 A La Cart - In Showroom Purchase. Fully customized engagement rings (you select the center stone and the ring setting separately) that are handmade to order using your choice of center stone and setting(sold separately), are not eligible for returns or refunds. All loose diamonds, loose gemstones, wedding bands, custom designs, customized designs, rush orders, engraved items, re-sized rings, and damaged or worn items are not eligible for return. 

Jewelry (Not Bridal)

The Jewelry Return Policy is for earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and non-sized/customized stacking rings (not engagement rings or wedding bands) purchased in our South End, Boston showroom via invoice, in-person, or telephone. Made-to-order pieces (necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and stacking rings not in stock) ordered in our Boston gallery will be eligible for 14-day returns less a 15% restocking fee. Custom or Customized Jewelry is not eligible for Return or Exchange.

 

Get a Return Shipping Code: Contact Us for the code, we use it to identify your item if personal details are not in the box. 
Pack Your Order Securely, Ship in a Box and Insure it: For returns and exchanges include all original boxes, certificates and accompanying materials. Do not return these items with resizing and repairs. Include in the packing box, the client's name(who placed the order), what you need done to your item, your return address, email address and phone number. Use a reliable shipping company and track your item. Pack your ring in a box, not a padded envelope. Insure your package or check that your jewelry insurance policy covers your ring during shipping to and from the showroom. Do not write jewelry, diamonds or other value related words on the package. 

Sizing and Repair can take up to 15 business days plus return shipping time. 

We return ship your item via FedEx 2-Day Express signature required, the cost is $30.00 and does not include personal item insurance. Check with your insurance provider to be sure your ring is insured for loss for incoming and outgoing shipping or contact us to add return shipping insurance to your package.
