Laura Preshong

A 20-year veteran of the industry that once welcomed her as a young artist, Laura Preshong welcomes other up-and-coming jewelry and accessory designers into her niche gallery in Boston's historic South End.  Preshong, who earned her wings from the Honolulu Academy of Art in 1989 and the Portland School of Art in 1992, is the creative mind behind a highly successful line of Umbilical Glass jewelry that put her on the map in the mid-90s.  While she now focuses mostly on custom designed pieces, Laura continues to work closely with her long-standing clients and keeps her creative eye open for new inspiration, recently including the use of rose cut diamonds and incorporating nature into her craft.

“I make the jewelry I'd want to wear,” Laura says, explaining why each piece she creates feels as if its made especially for the client.
