All of the jewelry you see on our site has been handcrafted by designers and artists in a studio setting. Given the handcrafted nature of these pieces, variations in detail, size and finish is normal and is what makes each piece unique with lasting quality and timeless appeal. Laura Preshong guarantees all items to be premium quality handmade goods, always better than expected!
Sales Tax
There is NO sales tax applied to any purchases, unless we ship your purchase within the state of Massachusetts. Our store is located at 558 Tremont Street in the South End of Boston MA 02118.

If given the choice, we would all choose to make the world a safer, fairer place to live, and sourcing jewelry materials responsibly is one place we can help. Tracking materials and requesting recycled options from manufacturing and mining sources sends a consumer message that is creating a more transparent trail and contentious options for gemstones and precious metals.
All diamonds purchased from Laura Preshong are trusted to be from trackable ethical sources, no Conflict Diamonds or stones from Zimbabwe are ever knowingly purchased. All diamonds used in our designs are covered by The Kimberley Process Certification Scheme and are from conflict free sourses. Our diamonds come from Australia, Russia, South Africa, India and some Canadian and are not derived from the small amount of conflict diamonds still entering the market.

We also provide a Green jewelry certificate for all of our pieces, certifying that all metals are 100% recycled, and/or processed in an environmentally responsible way, paired with 'conflict free' diamonds and fair trade gems.
The fact is that today, no one can sell a diamond, gold, or any gem and say it was proof positive, mined responsibly. At Laura Preshong we try our best to provide you with low impact, ethical diamonds, recycled metals and fair trade gems.
Return Policy
If you are not happy with any item you have purchased online, you may return it to us within 7 days of receipt. The item must be shipped to us in the original packaging, in pristine condition and prepaid via insured mail. We will credit you for the return amount of the item less the shipping charges. Any items returned after the 7 day period will be accepted at the discretion of Laura Preshong and for online store credit only. Please notify the gallery via email of any returns being made at gallery@laurapreshong.com .
Items purchased on our website may not be returned to store location for credit, nor does our internet return policy apply to items purchased in our store.

Special orders, sale items and altered pieces are not returnable and are Final Sale.
Special Orders
We try our best to have every piece on our web site available to you for immediate shipment, however due to the nature of our products, this is not always possible. If the piece you have ordered is out of stock, we will contact you with an estimated date of shipping.
Please contact us if you need a special size or chain length in a particular piece. Most designers will charge a small fee, and need additional time for processing. Time and cost will be determined and charged at time of request.

We cannot ship to PO Boxes.
The information you share with us is used solely for the purpose of increasing the value of our service to you. Any information you provide is never shared with a third party. Our site is secure, shop with confidence.
If you opt into the mailing list when you create your online account, you will receive periodic emails from us with recent announcements, upcoming trunk shows, events and sales. Your email address will never be shared or given to a third party. You can opt out at anytime.

Shipping Charges
Free Domestic Ground Shipping on All Purchases over 200.00 (insured up to $500.00).Our shipping charges are very reasonable, options will be available at Check Out. Standard Ground or Priority Flat Rate shipping is 10.00, Second Day or Expedited is 20.00. Please contact the gallery for overnight shipping costs, or international shipping charges. Shipping charges are non refundable in the event of a return, unless an error has been made by Laura Preshong Gallery.

Q. What is considered a Special or Custom Order?
A. Featured jewelry that is out of stock may be ordered and is considered a Special Order. Featured jewelry designs altered for specific client requests are considered Custom Orders.
All Special and Custom Orders must be paid in full before the order is processed.
Q. How will I know my order has been shipped?
A. When your order is shipped, we will send you a confirmation that will indicate which day you can expect your shipment. All orders are shipped via UPS and or USPS.
Q. When will my order be delivered?
A. Purchases are usually shipped within 1 days of receipt, but we say 2 to cover unforseen circumstances. Many times, they actually are shipped on the same day. Laura Preshong specializes in hand-made, limited edition artisan and designer jewelry, some pieces not in stock or special orders may require 4 to 8 weeks for delivery. You will be informed of any unforeseen delays at the time of your purchase.
Q. Ring Sizing
A.Laura Preshong aims to take the trick out of the ring sizing process. Many factors including air travel, spicy foods, alcohol and hot weather and time of day can dramatically influence finger size. Laura Preshong guarantees that rings will be the size ordered; we size using a steel ring stick with the size being determined at the center point of the ring band. When ordering a wide band ring, allow a half size for band width. Use this link to print a paper ring sizer, or visit a local jewelry store for sizing.
All rings are sold to the client at their requested size. There is often a reasonable charge to adjust the size of a ring after initial sizing, and will vary depending on material, please call for a quote.
Q. What is your repair policy?
A. Laura Preshong stands firmly behind the quality of all of the items we sell. If an item is received damaged or is in need of repair due to a manufacturing error, we will repair it at no charge. We will gladly make other repairs to your jewelry at a reasonable rate, including items not purchased at Laura Preshong. Contact us for a quote.
Q. Do you Gift Wrap?
A. All pieces received from Laura Preshong will be in a gift box tied with a purple ribbon, and is a beautiful presentation, suitable for gifting. If you require a more elaborate wrap, please call or email and let us know. The charge for custom wrapping is 15.00.
Q. Do you offer engraving?
A. Yes, we do! Engraving is $7 per character. Contact us for a list of possible type faces.
